Tonight I drove out to I-70 to meet mom, Gi, Diane, Jane and Stephen as they were passing to go to Hays. It was dark already and along the highway I saw the fields being burned, so the soil would get replenished for this years harvest...Anyways- the line of fire in the dark made me think of what the Great Wall of China would look like if the enemy were attacking and they had to light the fire at each fortress along its path!!!

wine keg's
Can't believe that it's been a whole year since we had our wine keg party in France at Jessica and Elena's appartment in the Cloe. Time has really flown. That was the first night Elena drank- and she was crawling across the floor for her 7th glass! Andy made some superb pasta dish which we devowered once he left the room...and Leslie was dancing to Daniel Powter! No need to share our pictures of that evening with others:)

Zeik
Kevin was home when Catherine and I got back to Jared's so we watched in amazement/fear as he took Zeik out of her cage and gave her some mixed salad, with strawberry yogurt...interesting combination. Then we enjoyed our afternoon by watching the Royal Tennenbaums!!
Later in the day, as I was showering to go back out, the fire alarms went off- not cool!!!

the fam..
I think mom enjoyed herself this weekend. Her and dad got up at 2am to get here in time for Alpha Xi's Mom's Weekend brunch/auction. Then at 3pm KSU vs. KU and mom and I were stuck outside in the cold for and hour waiting in line. Meet some great guys- Levi and Chris. Then ate a wonderful dinner (evil desert chicken) at Coco Bolos!!! And pub crawl commenced at 9:30pm. We stayed out until 1am!!
Way to go mom and dad!

contemplations
Alisha and I as we think of what to call our room this semester. We're thinking Pitty Party- because we hate when people try to pull those over on you.

Nate- qu'est-ce que c'est passe?
The lobster(Nate), had a bit of a collide with the corner of the hallway. Luckily after 8 stiches, and two hours in the ER, we returned to our humble abode and put him to sleep. He woke in the morning with only a massive headache to go along with minor memory. Way to be a trooper!
out house
The wonderful out house we all welcome before our jog to Aggieville on this brisk evening of 6 degrees! With good friends and a whole 2 blocks of blissful entertainment, the semester just flies by- all too quickly.
feathered follie's room
Here in Kevin's room, we enjoy watching videos of the men of 1200 N. Manhattan! The ensemble consists of(left to right): Nate, Catherine, Jared, Kevin, Alyssa and Gail(me). This is the night of our Bomber Party! Jager Bomber and Belfast Bombers. This was a much anticipated event for the last 3 weeks, thanks to thefacebook! Others not included in the photo: Dustin and Bethany Graves, Quenton Means, Jeremy Wedel, Neil, and the Iguana.

PT-19
Some day(I really have the faintest idea when) I will learn how to fly a plane, since I have wanted to from the age of 12. Bruno Tschannon had a PT-19 that was used during WWII and he took me and my family up in it and so I would like to learn how to fly a plane such as this!!!
Although, Bruno's was blue with yellow trimming...

Saturday, 14th of January, 2006
The day was wonderful and filled with much activity!! Alisha and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings with Callie and some of her friends to watch the KU vs. KSU basketball game. Saw an old friend- Swine, and we conversed for a while. It seems we were the only KU fans in the place! K-State beat KU- breaking our 31 streak loss- I am actually very happy for my university! Went to Dairy Queen and we ate our cherry dipped cones outside- it was in the 60s- in the middle of january- can you believe that?!! Then we went to a matinee showing of "Tristen and Isolde". Which I think is the new Braveheart.
