Rachael's bachelorette party and wedding!!

Rachael's wedding was great (Dec. 1st). A little cold for my taste but she got us all scarves to wear so we wouldn't freeze! We took pictures down at Washu and the reception was back in St. Charles. We had a trolley take us around everywhere. I somehow saw many olds friends as well as had Matt come down for the occasion and we drank a few bottles of wine. The next day was spent mostly sleeping in recovery!!! But we all had fun, so it was worth it! Congratulations to Rachael and Josh.:)

Halloween

I carved my pumkin! I didn't really have an idea how I wanted to do it, so he isn't real detailed. But I like him!

I've Booked my Trip to London!

My friends Kelly and Christi and I have booked our flight to London. Our friend and old roommate Courtney is going to graduate school there, and we have decided to cross the pond to see her, for a whole week in February!!
Since Kelly lives in D.C., we have decided to fly through there. I have booked on United and am very excited for us....I uploaded these pictures, b/c this is what I remember from last time- riding on London's Tube! and going to Westminster Abbey. I can't wait for what we'll do this time.

matt's visit to st. louis

Matt came to visit this weekend!! we went downtown to the Arch, and an Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour. We also ate lunch at the Morgan Street Brewery in LaClede's Landing. Their beer was good, but the food was not so great. Then we made an appearance at my friend Jimmy's house get together, and decided to go home and make spaghetti. We wanted to rake the leaves in the dark for mom and put them in a pumpkin bag, but we couldn't find one!
Sunday we watched the Chiefs game and went to a haunted house. I was terrified, but Matt wasn't even phased!

haircuts

I went online to look for photos of haircuts because I want to get one soon, and it popped up with a picture of this cute kitty. I feel so bad for it. I can't beleive people actually cut cats' fur.
Poor thing.

Saying goodbye

My good friend Kim just called me from D.C. as she is about to leave in a few hours to go to Kazakhstan. She has joined the Peac Corps, and I won't see her again for over 2 years...but I am excited for her, and she is doing something that both of us have wanted to do for a long time. Maybe I'll do it later in life. Good luck Kim. I'll miss you.

My trip to St. Louis Art Museum

The art museum is located in Forest Park and is free unless you want to see an exhibit. I chose to go through the exhibit: Symbols of Power~Napoleon. It was rather exciting and there was a lady giving a free tour and an audio so I could listen. But after that I went through the rest of the free galleries- this might have been the best part! I started with Pre-Columbian Art, went into Egyptian Rooms where they had two mummies that you could see the bodies! Then I went through the African pieces, up to my favorite area- Impressionism. I saw a Van Gogh piece- called Stairway of Auvers( which is what is shown) and then there were a few Picassos and Degas....and many others. My favorite was a painting by Modigliani. I had read a book about him and he is Italian and I didn't think I would run into one of his pieces here!! All in all, it was a great morning at the museum, a little cold inside, but it did reach 101 degrees today. So that is better than being out in that heat:)

New Job...August 2007

Hello my avid readers...I have not posted in awhile but I was waiting for a good pic to include. Guess that will have to wait for a bit. Anywho, I recently began working at a Residence Inn not far from home and I work as a Front Desk Associate. It is going well so far, alot to take in but that is good. I work the 3-11pm shift, which I thought at first would be terrible, but I realize it is better than expected. I have all day to get things done and enjoy myself and when I go to and from work, there is no rush hour traffic!! Also, I check guests in and since they usually stay around 4 or more nights, I get to know them better. Morning shift only checks out guests. And, 11 o'clock is still early enough that I can go out (except I only know 3 people that I still talk to in St. Louis) so I don't make it out too often. Now, I am saving up for a newer car and an apartment. When I get my uniform in a few weeks, I'll have mom take a picture so I can show everyone how cool I will look!! Take care tout le monde:)

Royals vs. Seattle

Jared, Catherine, Dustin, and I went to the Royals game Friday, May 25th, 2007. It was a little cloudy, but we had tons of fun. And at the end was a wonderful fireworks show. Although, the Royals lost 10-2, but it was buck night, so we ate lots of hotdogs!

Christy's Wedding

A few weeks ago we went around for Christy's Bacherlette party. The rest of the photos are of Kelly, Courtney, and I in Hutchinson. The night before she was married it snowed and we were all bundled up. We headed to the Cosmosphere, and watched "Hurricane on the Bayou" in the Imax theatre. That was really cool, and Kelly and I raced pennys! Then on Saturday Christy married Corey. They have been together for 8 years, all through high school and college! Our friend Morgan did the Grand March with me, since there weren't any single guys around...and then I danced with Christy for one song, so we could catch up. She's been so busy with her new job and getting married.

more easter goodness

This is my easter egg- Catherine taught us to color a design with Crayons and then dye it! So, mine is of the world. The other photos are from our drive down highway 18- Garden of Eden, and then we went to Catharine, KS to see how they really spelled the name. We had 2 different atlas', and we weren't sure which was correct.

Easter 2007

We mostly hung out at grandpa's- Sherri feed us way too much good food. We watched Fiddler on the Roof, went for walks. Jared and Catherine went to Scott City to hear Anthony and the Animals play. I was too tired, but it was so nice to be at grandpa's and not have to worry about homework.

Stingrays and Snorkeling

Mom- touching a stingray- the tops are all sandpapery feeling. Me holding a stingray- the bottom is smooth and not as scary as first believed!!
Mom and I while we were snorkelling!
Orman-one of our tour guides!!

Only a few feet under- the reef runs the whole way around the island!
